Thank you so much for requesting a place—and thanks to those of you who have placed orders, even in advance of tasting the wines. It is a beautiful vote of confidence. I can assure all of you that we have saved quantities of all of the scarcest wines so that you will be able to order some after the tasting.

Here are the details:

We have been stern in allocating places to the tasting. If you have requested a spot for a companion, we hereby grant your request. But please do not bring more than one, and do not bring anyone, even bodyguards, unless you have ALREADY requested a spot. We are mailing out this confirmation now based on a strict head count. Similarly, if you find that you cannot make it, please let us know.

The tasting will take place on WEDNESDAY MARCH 21, at the same loft where we have had a string of great tastings.

ADDRESS: 137 ESSEX ST. You will be met downstairs.

TIME: 7:00 PM. Please DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY. There will be no one to meet you and you will find only a locked door. Do please arrive between 6:45 and 6:55. There is a new faux-lower-east-side-restaurant-cum-bar next door where you can find shelter if necessary.

The door will close at 6:55 and the tasting will begin promptly at 7:00. I think that it will finish around 8:30. Last summer, we locked out Eric Texier. That is how severe we are.

Our last request is that you confirm that you will attend. If you cannot attend, we will offer your spot to someone on waiting list.

I must say, I am very excited. The wines are great, and it becomes more and more fun to see familiar faces again.
