It is time for another important activity. We are ready to begin shipping your wine. A week later than I had promised, I regret to say, but ready we now are. Before we do so, we want to invite all of you who have purchased wine to a party to celebrate the beginning of harvest—and the successful completion of bottling. We would like to offer you the possibility of picking up your wine at the winery. We will allow you until Monday 9/12 to let us know whether you would like to pick up your wines or await delivery. Unless we have heard that you would like to pick your wines the winery, we will begin shipping all remaining orders on Monday 9/12 .

I know that many of you live way too far away to take advantage of this invitation. We cannot offer the same opportunity away from the winery, but I have decided to organize an event in New York to balance this party. I will host a somewhat extravagant dinner at the Redhook Winery. The wines will not all be Scholium, and the Scholium wines will be a selection of library wines and the wines of this release.

And if you have not yet ordered wine or you would like to review the current release—you may still do so here. If you would like to come the pickup party, but have not ordered wine, you had better order at least a little. We have decided that we must husband our resources carefully now that we are in harvest, and so must limit our guests to those who have wine that they could, at least in possibility, pick up.
