the ten-ten-ten party

a somewhat alchemical diagram of robert fludd's, showing the tetractyl relationships of the four elements. It is not clear to me what the cloud is—tohu bohu?

HERE IS THE STORY: on SUNDAY* the 10th of October, we are going to have a party. We are going to celebrate our recent bottling, our release to the mailing list, and the happiness and excitement of working the harvest together. Linda Tenbrink, who sees the greater significance in many things that the rest of us might miss, has pointed out the numerological significance of the date: 10-10-10.

We are inviting you, our supporters.

And as grateful as we are to those of you who have purchased wine, it seems a little small-spirited to exclude from the celebration those who have not purchased, so we are not going to do so. But since our generosity is not boundless, we are going to fix the number of guest who have not yet purchased wines to 25.

And whether you have purchased or not, we would like you to RSVP.

We look forward to putting some wine in your mouth, and hands. And feasting you a little in the process.

We will feed you moderate snacks prepared by guest chefs.
We will have samples of the wines that we just bottled for you to taste. If you have ordered wines, you will be able to preview them. And bring home whatever you purchase here. Because we are organizing this so late in the game, we will not be able to hand over wines that you have purchased online already, but you will be able to pick up new purchases.
Lastly, we have a nearly secret treasure for you: the Tenbrinks will be hosting some of their friends and will be pouring some of their very small production wines. The Tenbrink family hosts the Scholium Project, and we work together every day and support each other in every task

*SUNDAY. that is correct. It is hard to keep track of the day of the week during harvest. Except that Sunday is the NFL, and I have no idea how we scheduled a party during the NFL.
