rain threatened much of the day but never fell. The skies remained cloudy and beautiful. At the end of the day, we distributed cases of wine as gifts to each other

We have been bottling well. It is a great relief. So much can go wrong.

We began tasting, racking, and blending only a week or so before the big day. Graeme took the lead while I completed a market visit to Florida. The weather was cool but clear. Alex joined Graeme and Johanna and me, and Jacob took a few days off from his usual off-season work to complete our team. We made effortless progress, culminating in shipping 2500 gallons of Naucratis from WVW to Tenbrink and crossflow filtering it right out of the truck to the big tank outdoors.

Bottling day itself went quickly and easily. We bottled Scholium, Jason Berthold's Courier, Steve and Linda's Tenbrink, and a special wine that we blended and bottled commemoration of the remarkable life of Fairfield civic leader Matt Garcia.
