Winemaking is work. Mostly washing things. It is hard to imagine how cheerfulness can coexist so easily with dedication and diligence. Especially when the task is hosing stuff down.

The wine at Tenbrink this year was made by the A-Team, day after day. Carrie, intern from New York, every day. Jacob, the inventor of Jacob's elbow, day and night until his family rescued him for more serious work. Friends who have come for days or hours at a time: Seth, Ben, Stephen, Brigit.

And every day, bringing food, more hoses, beer, dry ice, advice, support, man power–whatever is necessary: Steve and Linda.
